Skyline Theatre presents The Addams Family

Those who tuned in to Tree Town Sound on 107.1 last Sunday had a sneak peek of what’s coming to the Skyline Auditorium this weekend. The cast of “The Addams Family: A New Musical Comedy” sang “When You’re an Addams” and “Just Around the Corner” live on the evening radio.

The musical is based on the macabre characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams and the old-but-gold TV show The Addams Family. In this adaptation, Wednesday, the darkly-demeanored daughter of the titular family, has grown up into an 18-year-old who falls in love with a “normal” boy named Lucas. She tries to prepare her family for a pleasant evening with Lucas and his ordinary parents, but the Addams struggle to act mainstream and Lucas’ family is not what they seem.

During the radio interview, Mr. Brockie (the assistant director of the show and the beloved “Dazzle Dude”), Peter Dannug (Gomez Addams, the family patriarch), and Hayla Alawi (Morticia Addams, his sinister wife) touched on the key theme of family in this musical. For a show like this, the cast really feels like a family, especially in the throes of Tech Week. As the Addams say in the show, “family first, family last”, and they’ll certainly pull you into the ensuing hilarity and dark humor when you come watch the show.

The showtimes are November 8th, 14th, and 15th at 7:30 pm and the 9th and 16th at 2:30 pm. Tickets are being sold at the door and on if you just search “skyline theatre”.
