What to Expect: Beauty and the Beast Dylan Furlong November 13, 2015 Local, Our School, People, Performing & Fine Arts By Dylan Furlong, Marc Dargis, and Gavin Voss. This Saturday is the opening for Skyline Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast. The play is a formal showing of the Disney Classic; we can expect a full house, so be sure to get your tickets now. If former presentations of Skyline’s Theatre are any indication, then we’re in for an exhilarating adventure directed by English Teacher, Anne-Marie Roberts. In an interview with Hayla Alawi, playing Lumiere, we can deduce that the play will be “full of excitement and energy.” She continues the interview talking about the famous songs from the movie, saying that “the play is very similar to the movie, with a lot of the similar music; a lot of the same songs that everyone knows, such as ‘Be Our Guest’ and ‘Belle’.” The showtimes are November 14th at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm, November 20th and 21st at 7:30, and November 22nd at 2:30. Be sure not to miss the BEAUTYful Skyline Theatre musical production of Beauty and the Beast. Tickets are on sale now and at the door.
