The fourth annual [email protected] event will be held at Skyline High School on Saturday, April 22nd from 8AM to 4PM. The [email protected] event is officially licensed by the TED organization and the theme for the 2017 event is “UNITED.”  The event is a local all-day conference consisting of live talks by high school students, and it will have an audience of prominent community leaders, adults, and students from across the state of Michigan. The student-led conference is supported by a variety of sponsors, including the Ann Arbor School District and the Community Television Network. The organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has dedicated the conference to providing a platform that promotes the youth voice in order to make a positive difference in the world. Attending the event is a tremendous way to show your support for other Ann Arbor students.

TEDx speakers are high school students who are speaking about topics they are immensely passionate about and sharing their ideas to make the world a better place. TEDx speakers will speak on a variety of important topics, ranging from creativity in education to the stigma surrounding mental health. The conference will showcase twenty-five student speakers from schools located in Ann Arbor. These schools include Central Academy, Community High School, Emerson School, Greenhills Upper School, Huron High School, Pioneer High School, Rudolf Steiner, Skyline High School, Washtenaw International High School, and Washtenaw Technical Middle College. The event will also be livestreamed so that people around the world can witness the revolutionary ideas these speakers are presenting. The [email protected] conference is an amazing, life-changing experience that people of all ages can benefit from.

These tickets include breakfast, lunch, and snacks at the conference as well as access to technological exhibits and activities throughout the event.
